Cold and Snow

Our weather went quickly from reading on the porch at 60°F to curling up under a blanket, and in the 30's.  This morning it's actually 19°F.  We also have snow on the ground.  Not much, but more is coming.

Mornings are now back to dark and dreary.  Typical winter weather.

Deep Clean Progress . . .
I seem to never run out of something on this list.  We have white painted kitchen cabinets and cupboards (and drawers), so I have been wiping them all down.  I'll finish them up today, and start on wiping down the tops of our floor wall heaters that have collected dust.

I find the "deep" cleaning very slow especially because you still have to do daily chores which take up a lot of time if you want to stay on top of things. But I can see progress and that's all that counts! Good for you! You go girl! Enjoy the coziness!

I agree Sam I Am, there is so many regular things that need done, so I try and carve out an hour or less of deep cleaning, but it seems to take forever.

That's a huge drop in temperature! A good day for staying inside and doing some handwork.

Welcome to winter time! You certainly have a wide fluctuation in your temperatures. Don't know if my body thermostat could handle that!

When we remodeled this place, I got white kitchen cabinets which I had always wanted. Big mistake. They were always dingy and smudged looking and I spent way too much time trying to keep them looking nice. When we added on and remodeled for the second time, I took the doors and drawer fronts off, painted the remaining cabinet structures yellow and add knotty pine custom made fronts. Best idea I ever had!

Thanks Leigh, and some deep cleaning too.

Mama Pea, it is a chore to clean them for sure.

We have rain and storms headed our way in south central NC this evening and tomorrow, but only snow, maybe...in the NC mountains 100+ miles away. Heavy rains here can cause flooding in low lying roads, in the mountains - slides on major highways. So it'll probably be fun, not.
Still dealing with the flu here. I did manage to get vegetables down today. Up til now, it's only been oranges or orange juice. This thing is really bad. Next time I can get to a dollar store and get a diary, I'm going to start keeping a daily record of how I feel, cause sister said it seems to her there's always one thing or another going on with me. So we'll see, and it's a good idea anyway, for the doctor to review on our GP visits.
Prayers everyone has a great week and for their loved ones too.
God bless.

RB, getting a diary sounds like a good idea. I try not to go to town so often anymore with so many people going to work or to the store sick anymore. It's so easy to pick up germs anywhere. I hope you feel better soon.
