Although the w eat her is better now, it was nasty a few days ago.  This was a "small" rain shower.  W e had thunderstorms and 50 degree weather most of the day.  It was a swamp.   Nas ty weather is always a w elcoming reason to deep clean and then treat myself to crochet time. ...or baking time.  I've been a bit lazy getting breakfast made with greens lately.  I just love the home canned cherry jam I canned last year.  LOVE IT!  It's on the list of restocking this summer.  A large container of homemade hot ch ocolate has been restocked. ... it's also a good day to restock supplies like dishwa sher detergent.  My laundry detergent needs restocked too. First, I have to tell you about the strawberries.  We have one plant that survived last year's monsoon, so we have zero strawberries.  Some years it's just how it goes.  We plan ted everybe aring, and we did not like them anyway (small harvest, small berries, and never enough to can jam). There is a place about 25 minutes or so from our house which sells very good strawberries.  This place is known for their strawberries.  They are huge and tasty. I called, and found out that they were selling for only for one more day, and were picking that morning, and were to start selling at 9am.
