Happy November 1st!

My new Christmas light may be the only Christmas decor going up this year.  I do love it.  It doesn't play music, but it looks like it's snowing inside, and the barn is so cute.  I told my husband the ceramic tree my Grandmother made is buried behind two book shelves, so if he wants it up, we better get the floor done before December.

I made great progress yesterday with kitchen clean up, but all of the work out equipment upstairs is still in pieces, and difficult for me to get around it to put things away.  I sure hope our handy man is coming back to put it back together.

Every single canned jar was labeled and properly put where it belongs.  Recipe books went back to their shelf, and counter tops sanitized.

My fitbit racked up over 12,000 steps when I put laundry on the line last week (and pulled hot peppers).   Now we enter the time of year we get to rest and recoup to gain that energy we all need come spring.  I do not lack crochet/knit projects, that are not finished, so I am looking forward to that.

It would be so nice to spend Christmas in a cabin somewhere.  Maybe some day.  I am just hoping the living room repairs are completed before at least Christmas.

Happy Fall Y'all!

Attempt to get in the spirit of Christmas....

It's been a few rough weeks, and after my surprise roses, candy and card from my husband, I made an attempt to draw in the spirit of Christmas.  Master bath tree, shower curtain is up, and one door had decor.  I'm not sure I'll be putting every single decoration, or tree up this year.  I'm just dragging mentally, but at least trying.

I got my first Christmas card, and love it!  So cute.  I'll have to look for cards like this.

The weather was great for getting outside last minute stuff put away, although I made a second trip back out to retrieve the sprinklers.

I had to chuckle when Daughter K told me that a co-worker wants to exchange a Christmas card with a hand written recipe.  Daughter said she is pretty excited, ha ha!  Now, hm....which recipe do I pick?  I guess I'll do some digging and see what would be good to share.

Daughter K applied for a much higher paying job.  It would be full-time if she is hired.  Praying she gets the job.  She'll be able to save up faster for a newer car, not to mention get a place with her boyfriend.

Shopping Day!

It's been a helluva week.  Dreary, rain, plans going ba-zonkers, now expecting more car repairs (when the car comes back it needs new brakes - guy is just putting in a new engine)......sigh.

However, one daughter was off work, so I was able to get to town for some last minute stock up items.  I also wanted to get to the dollar store for some waxed paper, tissues etc.

I couldn't resist picking up a few more towels to rotate (in the bathroom) and some small ornaments to decorate the shower curtain and the small tree in the bathroom.  All at the Dollar Tree.

A breakfast I made a few days ago - tossed it together with sweet potatoes, bell pepper, onion, fire powder, eggs and dandelion greens.

Snow is predicted for us this weekend.  We are going to just go with the flow.  What gets done, gets done.  I'm working on a new crocheted Christmas ornament.  More news on that later.

Update on the home good store.  I went in to inquire on rental cost to sell my handiwork, as they requested.  First, the guy took forever to come to the counter, second, he was not nice from the get-go, and third he made a comment "everyone here gets along, so if you are not that type...."  Then he tells me $45 for one table (2 is not allowed).  Yeah, I won't be selling my items there.  Rude, too expensive and my instincts told me from the get-go he was not someone to rent space from.  I'm okay with that.
