New Coop ~ Tidbits

Short post today.  We started building the new coop over the weekend.  However, he bought the wrong size wood, so it's bigger than it should be.  We got two wall frames up, and he changed his mind and will be cutting the walls down for a shorter coop.  This man.  I am happy we are starting to build it, but I thought he had this all planned out too.   I didn't get any other pictures, as it was very hot out and we were extremely tired.  We reached out for help, and once again, no help.   Just the shopping, loading and unloading wears us out.  Roofing is heavy too, and so far that job sounds like it will be just him and I, and I am not looking forward to that. It came in handy for some much needed recuperation.  Plus, more kiddos (and myself) c aught the bug Hubby had . I've also delegated some garden planting to a few girls of ours.  I haven't been happy with the results of their housekeeping help, so outside they go (unless one is still stick) .  We'll get daily planting done before it gets sweltering hot around 10:30am-11am.

Photo Moments...

The start of my scrap blanket.  I'm using all the yarn I have leftover from other projects.  It's my "five minutes for me" handiwork when I need a change of pace from the other current handiwork. Big fluffy clouds. A butterfly that often visits the front porch flowers, and....

Carrots are finally done.....

It was another long day of indoor and outdoor chores yesterday.  Dinner was in the crock pot early in anticipation of

Blooms ~ Hummingbird ~ Box from Aunt ~ Conversations on the Porch

I took some time to "smell the roses" yesterday.  I walked my flower beds after lunch.
