Slower Sunday

Today, I started the day much more relaxed. I will try not to think about tomatoes until tomorrow.

Yesterday was a madwoman shopping day.  We needed chicken feed, coffee, toilet paper....necessary items.  I got my car an oil change (saving Hubby the work).  Also, we took too long to get our 17 year-old her driver's education classes, so we had to get her a new permit.   I was whipped at the end of unloading and putting everything away.  Today, we deserved to relax.  Hubby worked overtime this weekend too.

Hubby and I took our coffee to the front porch, and watched the sunrise for the first time this fall.  In fact, I can't remember watching it this summer, we were so busy.  Today, we enjoyed it. One kiddo even joined us.

I can hear the ragweed growing out in my vegetable garden, but today I will not listen.  Today, I will relax.  I keep repeating it in hopes I'll listen to myself, ha ha!

I had to chuckle at your "I can hear the ragweed growing . . . " Hasn't it been hardy this year? Here, too!

Good for you for taking today off. I'm going to do the same . . . except for a couple of things that have to be done.

Good for you. I keep telling my self that I am going to have a Sunday where I do nothing but relax. So far it hasn't happen. Something always comes up. Next Sunday I am locking my door and hiding the phone.
Mama Pea it was a pretty good day, aside from getting my yarn in a knot. I pulled it out and out came a mess of yarn. I had to end the row, cut it, And add back on. Otherwise, I got two motorcycle rides in, a visit with both sides of the family too.
Michelle, I hope you get your day off. It's tough to do it these days. I put a load of laundry out, and both Hubby and I were taking it down after our last motorcycle ride.

I worked Sunday morning, 9am-2pm which meant I went to bed early Saturday night (for a change), and then got a nap Sunday afternoon (also for a change). Other than feeding and watering the animals, and doing dishes, I didn't do much else at all...
But that was enough. LOL
Prayers everyone has a great week ahead, and a safe one too.
God bless.

RB, thank you. We had a very nice weekend. Saturday I ran around town picking up needs so it was so nice to take a break on Sunday.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
