The recent cold temperatures are bringing out the hawks, looking for food. This one landed on our goat fence.
This photo was taken from inside the house. From the house I could not tell what animal it was, and the barn cats often sit in the exact spot, watching for rodents.
The hawk just sat there until I went out to snap a photo. It took off into the woods just as I got the second photo. Had "bird man" Jesse seen it? He would have chased it off much sooner than me, ha ha!

They're beautiful animals with a job to do, and I hate to kill them or chase them off, but if one has small pets or livestock, then it's our job to keep them safe, and that includes running off anything that would hurt them, including these beautiful birds.
They're a sight to see though, aren't they.
God bless.

When outside they're safely in outdoor kennels similar to rabbit hutches, so they can get fresh air and sunshine, safely from predators.
God bless.
