Snow Arrived ~ Project Progress ~ Extreme clean ~ Sickness and a Discovery

Our snow arrived, and we are going through many old towels from wiping paws off.   I'd rather have the snow then the previous pouring down sleet we had.  School closed yesterday.

Jasper found the sun spot the other day.  He gets along with Zuri just fine, but King has too much energy for him.

My kitchen rug progress.  I honestly put this "at bay" to work full time on that baby blanket.  It's back out and getting a few more rows.  This will be a long pathway rug for my kitchen (or possibly hallway, or I may make two).

Baby blanket progress.  It's getting there.  Slowly.

Kitchen dishcloth on my knitting needles.  I actually made a mistake on it, took it out and restarted.  I've haven't had to do that for a dishcloth in a long time.

Kitchen seat cushions.  Started another one just so I can get them done sooner.  However, I ran out of one of the colors.  It's either wait for better weather and run to town or order online.

My recent book continues to wait for me.  However, I may be getting that chance today to read it.  Or sleep.

I spent a great amount of time deep cleaning my utility/catch all room, and plain wore myself out.  And that room is not even close to being "clean."

I really need to get to the store for lemons and limes (homemade ginger-ale), but feel rotten today.  These are the days I hate being "Mom."  We spend all our time taking care of sick kids and a sick Hubby that when Mom is sick no one cares or even knows what to do to help.  I think it's time for a round of kefir.

Okay, I'm done complaining.  I'll go make my tea and rest a bit.  It should pass quickly if I do intentional rest today.  At least the sick ones here are only suffering from extreme fatique, mucus build up, and a cough.  Oh, and a bit of nausea.  Thankfully, after our 16 year-old got better, no one developed vomiting, diarrhea or fever.  So far downing mullein/thyme tea with sage infused honey has been a lifesaver here this week.  I'm using sage honey because I ran out of my elderberry infused honey.  I know for sure, my fitbit will not be reading the usual 12-13,000 steps today.

While looking around the other day, to see if I should consider painting a few ceilings this year, I made a discovery.

Do you see it?  Or should I say "them."  Look under the last four letters.  I see two sticky, fake mustaches.  The girls were playing rock a few months ago or so, and had put on mustaches for fun.  My kids think they are so funny.

Funny on the staches!! Hope everyone is well fast. Remind me what you use the Tea Tree oil in a carrier oil on the bottoms of the feet for. Please and thank you!

Kim, I use either jojoba oil or organic olive oil to mix with tea tree oil.

Well, darn. The bad germies just don't seem to want to leave your house! Hope you can shake this quickly. You're so right, even though it doesn't seem the least bit fair, when "mom" gets sick there's no one to take care of her. So bottom line, be as good to yourself as you can. It won't be the same but the kiddos can take care of the cooking/food preparation for a couple of days. (They might even enjoy it!)

Everything always looks so beautiful and clean after it snows, that is until life starts going on around it.
So many projects, so little time. I think I need to make a list and prioritize them all.
Prayers for a safe and happy weekend.
God bless.
