Chilly Weather and random chit-chat

I think we are moving out of the temperature drop, and back into the 70's.

Daughter E is sick.  We tried to buy her some zinc, but it was sold out.  We found her some vitamin D and C, and delivered her some 4 Thieves.  It was a door drop just to be safe, and thank goodness we did.  She went to the doctor and tested positive for covid.  Please pray for her and anyone she was in contact with.

I sent Daughter K with another door drop for her with other medicinal items that could help her.  She lives alone with her cat, so I reminded my husband we need to door drop some cat food soon.  I pray she recovers quickly.  So many more at my husband's work are getting sick too.

I am dropping out of the craft show for all these reasons.  My Mom needs our help with food, cat food, household chores, getting the mail, putting trash out and many other things.  I can't put her at risk.  She literally cannot walk well, and needs someone to check on her physically vs. just a phone call. Stay safe my friends.

So many disappointments in this world we are living in! I just came out of quarantine on Monday. I had three positive tests (home kit/CVS/and again at doctor because they wouldn’t accept the other two.) Hubby was with me 24/7; we were in a beach condo when my symptoms first began. Six days later, he developed a sore throat and runny nose. He tested negative FOUR times over two weeks. My symptoms were very minor, but because of all the reports of cases going south quickly, I went to the doctor and got the "monoclonal antibody treatment” in injection form. Hubby’s symptoms cleared up quickly. He only took meds one day. We are both fully vaccinated. But here’s the kicker! The two granddaughters who live with us are banned from school for TWENTY DAYS! We asked the school nurse if we could submit negative tests for them. She said we would need to report to county health department and THEY would determine return date! Crazy! So, we’re homeschooling and have them home until October 11, because, naturally, their fall break begins on their return date of Oct. 1. It’s a crazy world we live in!
Oh my goodness! 20 days!? Sheesh. We have many friends who have had the virus or recently got over it, but one person is having a horrible time and got those infusions. Now her oxygen is low.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
