Happy Homemaker Monday

I'm joining Happy Homemaker Monday with Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.  I'm needing my to-do list public - staying on task today.  Or I hope to, ha ha!

On my breakfast plate. . .
Leftover overnight breakfast casserole.  Mm, mm, good.

The weather. . .
...a dewy, foggy start, but now heating up again.

Right now I am. . .
...heading out to put more laundry on the line

What I am thinking. . .
It's a good day for another motorcycle ride, to unwind at the end of the day.

On my reading pile . . .same books as before (just the way it goes this time of year)

On my TV. . .
not much

On the menu this week. . .
possibly pizza
- have no idea -

On the to-do list today. . .
-exercise
-chickens, water, feed, bring in eggs
-water houseplants
-laundry, wash and hang outside
-cut out useful coupons
-vacuum floors
-scrub a dub the master toilet
-pull some popcorn, dig some carrots
-label and store recently canned goods
-treat the hens to some garden produce
-deep clean at least 30 minutes
-make handmade foaming soap
-scrub and freeze carrots
-restock ice and gauze bandages (can't wait when I don't have to buy this stuff anymore)
- put canner away (for now)
-wash blankets and hang on line
-check library returns
- more to come I am sure....

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating . . .
I was blessed with someone who found me yarn to finish one of the baby blankets, so that is top of my list.

Looking around the house. . .
...it's looking better every day.
From the camera. . .
Had a very fun motorcycle ride with a group on Sunday.  I'm still taking time to "smell the roses."

Bible verse, quote, devotional. . .
My quote:  Work before play.

We had pizza for dinner tonight, some nights just call for it. What a pretty photo. Looks like such a relaxing place. Hope you have a great week!
Thanks Jean, the location was very relaxing.

That's quite a to-do list!
Pamela, I didn't get it all done (sigh). I have a ton of carrots I need to preserve now, ha ha. I guess I'll work on the list all week now.

Yes. that Monday list can be a doozy! I think come Monday morning everything comes rushing forward and it really should be a weekly instead of a daily list. Glad you got away for a bike ride and what a pretty place.
Sam I Am, I am so glad I didn't dig the entire row of carrots. I'm exhausted.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
