I decided to use those extra granny squares and make a matching washcloth for the bathroom. I only had to make a few to finish this. The yarn is back in the closet until the other projects are done. It saved me from having to make another hand towel (at least for now).
Two delicious farm eggs, sprinkled with garden grown chives and homemade bread slathered with home canned sweet potato butter. Those eggs tasted so good. Probably because they were the last two in the house.
I've been marking a few recipes in this borrowed cookbook (I love the library). I think any one of us could have written it too. It goes by the seasons. I found a few goodies, and I have to send the book back.
Remember this project? The granny square baby blanket? iiiiiiittttttttt'sssssss backkkkk (in my best sing-song voice). Just after I got those recipes taken care of, I did my best to put some time into sewing in those ends. I am crocheting one day, and the next chance I get to work on it, sewing in the ends - 150 completed, 42 more to go. I just had to switch projects for awhile. The other one was making me go nuts.
I am getting other work completed - the popcorn is completely off the cobs and in jars now. The cobs are saved for campfire starters. I even made a bowl to enjoy right after that job was finally (finally) done.
As for the walnuts? They are still on the table, and slowly getting cracked.
What's on the breakfast plate?

How neat to have your own popcorn! It's such a great inexpensive and low call snack except I always have to put butter on mine! LOL!
Windy out here again today, but not as bad as yesterday and last night. It sounded like banshees circling the house last night. Brrrrrrrrr...
After 60s & 70s last week, we might get snow tomorrow. That's Spring in NC.
Wednesday night I was hungry but didn't want to turn out the whole kitchen for a meal. I got to thinking about what I really wanted to eat and made something I haven't had in years - a scrambled egg sandwich on lightly toasted bread with Duke's mayo. YUM!!! Was telling an elderly lady at the store about it. She'd bought bananas and grapes and said that was going to be her supper, but when I told her about my egg sandwich, she went back and bought some Duke's and said that's what she was going to have for supper too. Odd how sometimes we forget some of the simplest pleasures.
Prayers everyone's having a great weekend, and a safe one too.
God bless.
