As I crocheted and watched the news, was hoping that the weather forecast was wrong (as it is most times). They were right. Well, right on one thing - snow. The weather man kept stating to watch for "thunder snow." I didn't see rain or hear thunder, but the white stuff returned. It's already melting, so I'm not worried. Or should I be? It will be a low 20°F tonight. And more rain. And more snow.
It is nice to see it so bright out today, but by Wednesday it should be gone. It rained for 3-4 days straight before this arrived, so it's a swamp out there (soon to be an ice rink). Good thing I have spikes for my boots too.
Yesterday, before the white stuff returned. I took a look at the garden, and saw my asparagus is starting to come up. You can see the constant rain has also brought up more weeds. I typically don't cover this with straw, as the high spring winds will simply blow it away.
My collards were growing back yesterday as well. Hopefully, they'll spring back after the snow melts.
My peach tree had beautiful blossom buds yesterday. Not sure what will happen until the cold snap passes.
My lilac had large buds on them yesterday as well. I sure hope I see blooms this spring.
And as I was out "snapping" photos, a puppy was busy in the house. Oh, that fencing can't get up fast enough. Anyway, I'll have something to shock you with tomorrow.
Comments
Hope the pup didn't do too much damage inside.
Hope you get the fences up soon.
As for that busy puppy, I think it was trying to tell you it wanted to walk with you. ;o)
As for the buds and sprouts, Mother Nature will either take care of them, or she won't - as usual.
Prayers everyone has a happy safe week ahead.
God bless.
