Tuesday Tidbits

Yesterday's sunrise.

Not really liking porch time right now.  Another highway is closed for construction, so the detour goes by our place.  Too many semi-trailers for sure.

Got the car into the shop at 11:30am yesterday, and had it done by 1:30pm.  There was literally no weeding time after all that running around.  Just glad it's done.

Short post today.  We are dragging our feet with the night shift business.

Beautiful sunrise. Rain has stopped play once again here, so no gardening for me today.
mamasmercantile, we are in a dry spell, and now super hot. Same as last year.

All so positive and newsy. Glad to get this. Brightened up my day.
Still dealing with low back left leg problems. Was hospitalized for 3-4 days in early June for it. They ran all kinds of tests - Xrays, CT Scans, MRI and found nothing. So danged aggravating. Then I went to first PT appointment on 7/2 (took me more than a month to get in there), and after a lot of questions along with poking and plodding, she suddenly said, "I know what it is. You have a displaced pelvis." Well, glory be.
So she sent me home with a leaflet of 7 exercises to do, and my left leg started swelling and hurting so badly, I was in tears again. It was 4th of July holiday weekend, so the PT office was closed. Bro Tom went to Walmart and spoke to the pharmacist there. She said it sounded like I did something wrong in the exercises I was given. To stop them and put ice, ice, ice on the swelling. So that's what I did (and am still doing), until I could call the PT office Monday morning. When they heard, they said the very same thing - to stop everything but ice and Tylenol until my next visit which is Thursday. So that's where I am right now. Hobbling around like a little old lady. I'm 72, but for years people thought I was in my 50s, so it's like I've aged 20 years in just a few months. :(
But, I'm still above the grass, and Daddy said "Any day above the grass is a good day." And I believe that. It's a day to love others and pray and Praise God!!!
Prayers ya'all are having a great week.
God bless.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
