From the Family Journal . . .

. . . taught my 11 year-old daughter how to do your own laundry.

. . . found out my younger brother is engaged. Yay!

. . . our 11 year-old loves to cut her brother's hair.  She loves to work with people's hair and nails and wants to go to Beauty school to own her own hair and nail salon.

. . . all but 2 of us visited the local county fair this year.  We went on demolition derby night, as two of Hubby's nephew's kids were in one of the heats.   One did very well, but the fire department was asked to douse his car, putting him out of the heat. The other was out early in the heat.

. . .our 16 year-old daugther has officially obtained her driver's license.

My girls started doing their own laundry at about that age too.

I have a daughter who went to cosmetology school. She attended Douglas J Institute, very nice school :)
