Another Record Temperature Day and randomness
I wrote up my to-do list and a rainy day list as well. In fact, I went to get my felt I need to finish an on-going craft, and could not find it. Another item lost in the shuffle. Good grief.
One daughter was heading to pick up a friend and stopped in the craft store for me thankfully.
Solar batteries arrived, so those are now in the pole lights. They sent me this free keychain. It's a very bright, mini flashlight. So cute. It's going in my keychain collection. Did you know I collect keychains? I haven't added any to it lately, but this will be added. I wish I could find a place to display them all for the public to see.
Zuri ran after it, and we thought it ran off. Later it showed up again. I sure hope it either finds it's way home, or someone takes him. He'll drive the dogs nuts and that will not be fun taking dogs out.

Car Update ~ Grill out and other tidbits
The car has been fixed. I'm so blessed to have a husband who knows how to fix cars. Daughter is a happy camper and so am I - no stressing about how everyone gets to work today. We live out in the boonies, so getting them all to opposite directions from 25 minutes to an hour for each is much easier today.
Hubby had to take a day off work to fix the car, so once that was done we took the Harley (a no coat ride)E out for a few groceries, and came home to grill out dinner. The weather was a record high of 80 degrees.
We however, will dip down to the 30's again tonight, but we enjoyed our warmer weather. Now that we have a break in car repairs, I need to remind my husband to fix the chicken coop so I can get eggs from the outside.
I purged more magazines, and have just a few more to go through. Saving that for a rainy day.
I'm going to be taking advantage of a 77 degree day, and putting laundry out on the line. I need do outside work today before it starts getting cold again.
E-ghads! I have no photo for today's post. The leaves are falling from the trees and they are almost bare here.

Happy Homemaker Monday
I made homemade garlic cheesy bread for the first time last night. It was delicious. The family gobbled it up. I made it to go with leftovers. The dough was pretty easy to make too. Recipe is free online at

What a year....
What's been going on here? Well, I realized when I was short of one box, I could go online and order them for free from the USPS. It's been shipped, but my books have not arrived.
Dirtiest election year ever. With so much uncertainty for our country, there could be the possibility of my husband losing his job (as well as many other Americans).
There is voter fraud. It's real. Friends of my best friend (of many many years who I email every single day) went to vote. The wife was told she could not vote, because she had already voted. She said "no I didn't vote." She had to verify that the ballot that was mailed in was not her signature.
Haven't started on the bathroom renovation. My husband has had no time and also no motivation. He's been working 10 hour days and more overtime is possible next week as well.
No word on the car. I think my husband has been too busy to even think about calling about it.
Chainsaw parts are delayed, but a friend is loaning us a chainsaw for now (husband just has to go pick it up).
I made headway on my daughter's cardigan while watching the news, but had to turn it off. I couldn't take anymore of it.
I started to put together a new crochet set to sell. Made a list of items people requested, and the first things that need restocked.
I've been mentally exhausted by dinner time, so I switched up the dinner last night and made a one dish baked casserole with asparagus in it. Forgot to take a photo.

This and That
I totally forgot about the tomato stakes until I was loading wood to the porch. I hauled the cart out there, filled 'er up and put them away for the winter.
