Rain Possibly?

It looks like we may get some thunderstorms here today.  I'm glad.  We need some rain.  It's great for the garden too.

I'm also glad I finished up the laundry yesterday.  My son also helped me clean out the rose bush flower bed.

This is what we started with.  We first dug out all of the rose bushes and moved them to other locations.  The chickens kept getting into this flower bed over the last few years.  They dug out the plastic sheeting, and you can see what the did to the mulch.

We ripped out all the weeds and have it ready to replant new rose bushes.  The last ones were not really what I wanted.  I won't be using that plastic edging either.  This project will take a few weeks to finish, along with building a chicken tractor for the barred rocks.  They seem to be the ones that get into the most trouble here.  Say a  prayer hubby is up for the challenge.

Where there's a will, there's a way....

Update on the Coffee Jelly - it thickened up more and the kids love it.  I'm up for making another new one soon.

I have GOT to try that coffee jelly. I love coffee anyway so I'm sure I would love that.
It's so nice you have helpers. I have to do everything myself and as I age I sure don't have the energy I used to but I manage and persistence is key! LOL!
A bunch of my rubber mulch got washed away when we had some really hard rains a few weeks ago but I'm putting edging down so hopefully that will fix that. I think that's what "farming" in any capacity is about....trying, failing and then figuring out a solution...part of the circle of life. Good luck with all your chores and I hope you do well at the market!
