Delivery of Two Types ~ Interesting Update

Here is a snippet of what my birthday flowers looked like.  My husband surprised me with a large, beautiful bouquet.  I have received flowers via delivery in a long, long time.  He's awesome.

While the dandelions are growing like weeds should be, my garden(s) are delayed.

The "Rain Gods" delivered again.  The 4am thunderstorm and downpour has halted my planting plans today. It's flooded out there.  Saturated in a matter of an hour's worth of rain.  Sigh.  I had high hopes to plant seeds today.

I'm trying to concentrate on what work I can do, versus what I can't, and praying the ground dries up enough to get more planted.

Regarding the nusiance business that has customers trespassing on our private property?  Well, apparently, the "big" concert/camping/trail riding weekend he was promoting for the last year (scheduled for the first week of June), and selling high priced tickets for, is now crashing down.  To a point anyway.  The top three large bands have backed out, and those who bought tickets are not getting refunds.  There is talk going on that the owner spent all the money.  I'm pretty sure there will be some enemies created now, if not already.  The business is now being heavily questioned as to if it's running a scam, and why no one is answering who is responsible for refunds.  This should be very interesting.  He had invited over 3,000 people to this event. Not sure how many tickets he actually sold, but they were high priced.

We finally got some rain overnight which we (unlike you) really needed.

Good news about the "nuisance" business. Let's hope it's the beginning of the end for it.

Absolutely gorgeous birthday flowers!

I feel your pain with the planting but count your blessings that you had not already planted and thus would now be watching things rot in the ground. I have also not planted much. Carrots, potatoes and sweet potatoes are going in containers of some sort. That will keep my root crops safe if the rain continues and if it stops it will free up land for other things. Good Luck to you!

Thanks Mama Pea. I do love the flowers. It brings cheer to the home on these cloudy, rainy days here. We are finding the entire situation the neighbor is in, very interesting. Most of us expected it to end up like this.

Kim, you are right. I held off on the other planting, and am glad. I haven't even gotten my tomato plants, cauliflower/broccoli, pepper plants etc. I feel so behind, yet ahead of not wasting the money.

Dawn, we will continue to watch and see what happens. Thank you for the birthday wishes.

Those are beautiful flowers! Greed always catches up with the greedy - sounds like he's going to be too busy treading water to bother your borders. Let's hope so!

Susan, I agree. There are some pretty upset people, and he sold tickets across state lines, and at high prices.

What beautiful flowers!!! Hope you had a GREAT birthday.
We're needing rain down here now. We had so much of it a few weeks back, now it's been forecast several times and didn't come. It's either feast or famine regarding rain here.
Regarding the neighbor, I'm surprised the law was allowing a shindig like that anyway. What kind of bathroom/handwashing facilities were arranged for it, where was everyone going to park, etc.? And hey - if any of those ticket holders paid with Visa or Mastercard, you can be sure there WILL be a full investigation, because I believe the credit card companies will have to refund the money if the neighbor doesn't, and if so the credit card companies will then go after him.
What goes around, comes around, or as some call it "karma."
God bless.

RB, I had a pretty good birthday thanks. As for the week long event in June....well, the authorities are aware and watching (Fire Marshall, Health Dept., law enforcement etc.).Right now he has one portable toilet, and it's at one location. When he closes it (which he recently has), and directs them to the woods behind our home, he has no toilet. No sinks etc. He may have put in a well, but that would be it if he did. More bands have pulled out of the event since I posted this. Local bands. This should be very interesting.
