New Food Tried ~ New Recipe Tried (or so I thought) ~ Question about a product

I can say that my husband gets credit for finding this "pasta" at the store.  Ingredients are lentil, pea and cauliflower.

(Source:  Google)

I used the vegetable pasta to make Zucchini Linguini with Walnuts, but used the veggie pasta, and added some homemade pesto.  The texture is different from regular pasta, but it was good for being made with vegetables.  The only downside on this "pasta" is that it does not re-heat very well.

I tried a random recipe I found online, to use that delicous rhubarb I picked (and my foot paid the price).  Anyway, the recipe called for any "berry" but I mixed some thawed strawberries with the rhubarb, and it turned out very good.  The recipe uses einkorn flour vs. all purpose white flour.

It's called Einkorn Berry Crisp from Farmhouse on the Boone.  After I wrote up this post, I saw that I had tagged the recipe once before, so I apparantly made it before ha ha!  Oh my.  I also used monkfruit vs coconut sugar the last time too.  Also, the recipe doesn't say old fashioned oats or quick oats, so I used old fashioned this time.  I will try quick oats next time (both are organic that I buy).

Tried a new recipe with swiss chard!  Roasted Swiss Chard with Feta, and it was delicous.  Definitely different, and I read the reviews and added a bell pepper and 2 cloves of garlic.  I will be making this again.  Recipe is from AllRecipes online.

Once again blogger is having issues.  Spell checker is not working, nor is the search mode, while working on a blog draft.  If you view your own blog, and use the search bar there, it works.

Does anyone have one of these (like this one)?  I'm looking for the best bang for the buck, to make my life easier the next 3-4 weeks.  It's either that, or hire someone to clean, and this is way less expensive.

You try more recipes than I do. I just make the same old stuff all the time:)
I tried that pasta and my husband and I didn’t care for the texture.
Far Side of Fifty, I am always looking for new ways to use what we grow in the garden. Especially if I grew a lot of it.
Debby, it is very hard to find a pasta that is good, and not carb bad for us.
I have only tried the Palmini "pasta". I decided for me it would only work with spaghetti sauce. The mouth feel was fine but the taste was strange. I will give the one you mentioned a try and see if I like it better.
The rhubarb dessert looks very good.
Anne in the kitchen, I bought some "lasagna" palmimi, but have not tried it just yet. I was wondering how it tasted.

I have one of the wand scrubbers and it does make my cleaning easier.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
