Tuckered out
Camping? Well, after a full day of splitting wood, we were too tuckered out to mess with the camper, ha ha! We did sleep well, even if it wasn't in the good ol' outdoors.
Truth be told, I think if we put up the camper early, and then did the hard work, it would have worked. However, that wonderful morning chill is back today and I would have not wanted to leave.
We did get a good start on another row of stacked wood. It was however, Hubby myself this time. One daughter went to a friend's house for a school project, while two others dressed up in costumes for a Halloween/overnight party.
When Hubby and I retired for the night, I walked out to retrieve the day's mail delivery.
It was "happy" mail for me! Yay!
A beautifully quilted mug rug and a note written on paper shaped like a leaf. Thank you Mama Pea! You made my day! I'll be using this often, and I might even take it to the porch as long as weather holds out too. I love it!

Camping would have been loverly, but doesn't having that wood stacked and ready feel good, too?
Glad the little package arrived. I'm thinking of you still enjoying your little respites on the front porch . . . I could do that, too, but I'd have to don my down jacket to be comfortable doing so!
Mama Pea, it was very warm here yesterday but cool today. It is a relief to get the wood cut. We did more today.
Very cute mug warmer. Mama Pea did a beautiful job. We still have wood from last years. But will probably still have to cut a little more.
Michelle, we ran out of wood last year. We never expected such a cold winter. This year we will be prepared. I bought a Farmer's Almanac for 2015 also.
Beautiful mug rug, and I wonder if that's homemade paper the note's written on too.
Looks like it might be. Very pretty paper too.
God bless.
