Trim is getting a new look!

My current project.  Painting all the trim in the kitchen white.  The trim at the ceiling will also be painted white.  It will be nice and bright in there.  The dark wood color needed to go.  I wasn't even thinking of doing it, until I painted my desk drawers/cabinets in that corner.  I'll have an update on that later after the paint dries.  The trim painting was my husband's idea.  I do think it looks much better, but man that edging stuff is for the birds.

I had to take those photos on my cell phone.  It's been so dark and dreary outside, and thunderstorms tomorrow.  When the sun is shining I will take better photos.

I picked more asparagus yesterday, and hope to get more after today's rain.

Question.  Does anyone have a Meyer Lemon tree they can save me a seed from?  I priced the trees at the green house and wow!  I would rather grow my own.

I somehow killed my aloe plant, but have a family member willing to donate me a start from hers.  I am just waiting for a safe place to put it, considering I feel the entire house is under construction, and Mom's plants are on the floor of my bedroom (where they, for now, get the best sunlight).

I love my husband, but now he's hinting that he and his crew want breakfast this weekend.  Sigh.  I will have to think on that for now.

My new dishwasher magnet.  The men we hired to do the flooring put a scratch on it, so now this covers it.  I ordered it off of Etsy.

You have been so busy, but it will be worth it when you are finished. I didn't know there was such a thing as a dishwasher magnet. Can you buy a Meyer lemon and save a seed from it? Good luck with all your projects.
Debi, I actually looked at the store yesterday for Meyer lemons. They did not have any. Thanks, we really like the new look of the kitchen, but had never had the new painting in mind when we cut out the floor.

Our kitchen renovation is slowly getting there. Ive got to make an updated post on my blog. I did however make a video of the updated progress on our channel.
Everything is looking good in your kitchen.
Thanks Tracy. It's time consuming, but at least I know I'm doing it right. After doing some ceiling trim, I see that the hired help who painted the ceiling missed some areas (sigh). I'll be fixing that soon too.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
