Planting has started. . .

We picked up some supplies recently, and got to work (again).

Extra blocks were needed for raising the rain barrels a tad higher.  I couldn't get my bucket under them, nor a hose on them easily, as low as they were.
I'm re-landscaping the herb garden, rose bed and maybe part of the flower bed.

It all depends on how much the wallet is willing to let go of this spring.

I'm just tired of having to dig up the natural rock, re-align it all and scoop up all the dirt that washed out and put it back in.  I have already placed about 36 landscaping stones in place, but need about 100 more (just for the remaining herb garden, rose bed and maybe one other area).  Photos will be taken when I have it weeded and filled with more good dirt.  It could be a while.  We may also increase one flower bed space just to make one corner easier to mow.

Hubby and I planted 2 black raspberry and 2 more red raspberry plants.

I flipped one rain barrel over, and once I have blocks in place, the others will follow.  I may leave one upside down, because it goes nearby the tree that needs felled.

Sunday, Hubby and I joined about 9 (could have been more, but I didn't count) motorcycle riders.  It was a new group to ride with, but we had a lot of laughs.  We, for the first time took the highway for part of the ride (I think I prayed the entire time).  Today we are sun burned and have very chapped lips, but had a relaxing afternoon.   A good day for road therapy.

Today we are back to our regular work.  I have to say, I am now feeling the muscle burn of where you bend over when you garden and yard work.  Didn't feel it when I was out working, but today?  Yeah, I'm feelin' it.

The weather is wonderful today!  I am washing bed quilts, and Hubby even took the bike to work todaySince he left me the truck (still playing the car shuffle) I may go and pick up the landscaping stones.  Just maybe.  I still have the bathroom tile floor job lurking. I just have the itch to be working outdoors today.

....so many jobs, so many jobs to do....

Hope you chose to be outside! With our spring, it pays to take advantage of a nice day, as the next can be raining/snowing! I have been trying to pace myself so that I can continue all week on garden prep. Boy, oh, boy is the garden a mess! Glad you and your hubby take time for yourselves.
Susan, I got outside, but it will dry up in time to rain tonight, so I didn't weed. We worked double time in the mornings to earn the afternoons out. I think next week will be busy with outdoor work too.

I like that, "road therapy"! :) I feel that way when I'm in the woods, "nature therapy". :) I know how you feel, there is so much to do in our house, but when the weather is nice, I don't want to be dusting and vacuuming.

Yes, it's an exciting time of year but it also doubles our workload! LOL!
Rain, I would love to be back outside today, but the rain soaked everything. I will settle for lunch on the porch and putting laundry on the line.
Sam I Am, you are right about that!

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
