Sadie

January 30, 2015 (today) was the last day we had with Sadie Lou.  She was a wonderful dog, and will be greatly missed.  Click on "read more" for photos.  She was a part of our family in so many ways.  She was the "mother" to all.  She was the protector to Oldest Daughter.  She was greatly loved.

I will be remembering your daughter. May god wrap his love around her and comfort her.

I am so sorry to hear that this time has come. It is always a sad time but one where we need to remember the times that they were enjoying all that they loved. Sadie was happy because of all of you allowing her to share your life. She smiled with each pat on the head and "good girl" that she was given. And she praise was what she lived for, and what you each gave so freely. And she in return gave licks and nudges and love in her own special way.

I am so sorry for your loss, what a dear sweet dog, she clearly was a happy, much loved member of your family. The photos bring back memories for me of my family's pets, past and present. You all, especially your daughter will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry for your loss. I was afraid for you, when I read about the pale gums. Our older dog had that and had cancer in her spleen. Common sadly. You can know you gave her a great home...

Sending my hugs and healing thoughts to all of you. Your daughter (and all of you) gave Sadie such a good, good life. And, of course, she gave so much right back to you. I'm very glad your daughter was able to be home to help Sadie on her way to another wonderful life. It's so hard losing a pet who is truly part of the family.

Sending healing thoughts to your daughter.
Thank you all! Yesterday was a very quiet, sad, and difficult day. I'm sure our oldest daughter will have a few weeks or mourning.

Awww, I am so sorry. My heart aches with yours.
The best thing we can do when we lose someone dear to us is shift all of our focus to the good times we had with them. I pray you and your family are soon able to do that.

God bless.

I don't know how I missed this post, but I am so sorry I did. It wasn't until I read you latest one that I realized Sadie had died. I am so sorry for your daughter and all of you. Even knowing that you have given her a lifetime of love, cared for her, did your best, it still leaves such a big, achy hole in your heart. Love to you all.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
