Me, Turtleman and a Treadmill

Thursday was a normal inside chore day.  I am having a bit of difficulty coming up with an interesting post that doesn't have to do with sweating through 3 pairs of underwear, or chasing chickens. Or scrubbing a toilet or two.

I did make a batch of homemade ricotta that will be used for a few dinners this coming weekend, but the highlight to share is our trip to the gym.

I was jogging on the treadmill at a fairly good pace.  Hubby was on the treadmill next to me, jogging as well.

In front of the treadmills are windows, but up on the walls on the right and left are two large televisions.  We happened to be pretty close to one.  I had my shuffle blasting upbeat music to keep me going, and I happened to look up at the TV (and probably shouldn't have).

Turtleman was on.  Yep.  You know that guy who rescues people from pesky pests?  Well, we continued to jog and watched him catch animals, but....

You know how televions show the words so you can read what they are saying while your listening to music?  Well, there he (Turtleman) was "Wah, Wah, Wah!" pretending to be Bruce Lee and all I could think of was my older brother.  I busted out laughing, tripped and almost fell flat on my face on the treadmill.  Hubby got a good laugh.

You see,  my older brother once took the older girls camping, and they brought back videos and photos.  That's all I'm sayin' about my older brother and Turtleman. Ha ha ha ha!  The two really do need to meet some day.

Love your photo, so pretty :)

I would love to make homemade ricotta, is it hard?
Sandra, I use 4 1/2 qts. raw goat's milk, 1 cup organic/non-gmo plain yogurt and one crushed rennet tablet (I buy them in the gelatin section of the grocery store). It sits all night then is scooped out, rinsed and drained. I got the recipe from Mother Earth News website.

Funny even though I have no idea who Turtleman is. LOL!

I love your flowers and container...I would love to sit with you and have a glass of your ginger ale. Stay cool!
You cracked me up with this one! And please share that recipe!!! Sounds fantastic! Wishing you a lovely weekend lady! Nicole xo
I'll re-post that link to the recipe soon.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
