I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day. I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day. Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest). We are feeling better.
As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb. I have not found a way to "opt" out either. If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.
If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha! You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog.
Okay, back to the update post . . .
First, I have to share this ditty. It was about a month ago, and we were out on the road for something or other and pizza was the answer for an easy dinner. Nope. It was a local place too, not a chain location. We had to call to order, and guess who took the phone call? AI. Yep. We were trying to ask for extra sauce and the AI kept telling us the pizza "was tasty enough as is" and would not listen to our topping request, crust request (good luck getting a cauliflower crust). Anyway, somehow, we called back over and over and finally got a real person. It was not a pleasant experience, and will not order from anywhere AI is answering the phone calls.
Okay, off my soapbox . . .
The weather is much cooler here, but we got back up to 80 degrees this week. The San Marzano tomatoes that I brought inside are not ripening (waited 3 weeks). We left the rest on the plants in hopes for better ripening, despite weather.
We are getting a lot of our cherry type tomatoes. Zero zucchini, and much of the garden has been yanked for the season.
Our butternut squash looks like baby squash, and I have yet to see one spaghetti squash. It's been a trying year, but we have had worse years too.
A "first" for this year is to make a fresh tomato sauce with our cherry type tomatoes. I didn't really follow a recipe, but roasted them in two pans with red onion, garlic and thyme. I added some basil when we seasoned later after I blended it all up for meals. First big picking was about 7# of the cherry tomatoes.
A few mashed potato squash are growing in yellow! They have had to cross pollinated, as there are other squash on the same vine that are white (the color they should be). Crazy!
The new coop is finally (after two years) making some head way. The run walls are built, and almost done, the run roof is in progress, and all the trim I painted way back in the day is on the coop. I have dug out the paint, which will be needed, but boy it feels good to see the progress coming along. I forgot to take photos.

I notice an increase in views, no followers or comments. I have been trying to begin elsewhere.
I sure hope you're feeling better. We're still out camping for one more night. I don't want to go home!!! I'm sure loving this new camper and could live in it forever. But I guess real life has to be taken care of too. I put non-skid vinyl liner in the drawers and on the shelves this week to help keep things from moving around too much. I also got all of the cabinets and drawers organized. I'm sad that the season is coming to an end.
Take care my friend and get some rest.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Faith, are you still using blogger or wordpress? or some other platform. Very curious considering all things going on with blogger.
Betsy, we have not been able to go camping for two years. We are frustrated with all things constantly taking our time. Last night I had to take out the entire row on the baby blanket I was working on. Sigh. I had made one small mistake and could not continue to the next until I fixed it. Your new camper sounds fantastic.
