Blog Issues

Blog issues not resolved just yet.  One follower jumped on the band wagon, but it does not show who (hidden somehow?), and the last post has 600 some views (I rarely get 100 or even less).

Someone has put my blog onto a website as advertising or whatever, and I will put a stop to it.  If not, well, we know what that will be.

I have already been hacked by one of our own family members, out of spite and hate (for whatever reasons).

Oh, and conveniently, blogger stats are "unavailable" today.  So, I cannot see if it is the same website that is involved or not.  The last website was a "publishing" website.

Eye rolling, because there are better blogs to steal content from, even though this blog has a copyright on it.

I will check stats and analytics throughout the day, and the next few days.  Time will tell.

I am sorry you are having issues. I am like you and generally know the visit count that is normal for me. Occasionally it will jump up by maybe 50 views but nothing outrageous.
I hope you can figure out what/who is causing it.
I just checked my visitors list and in the last day and a half it has jumped 4x the normal visits. When/if you figure out what is happening with yours will you please let me know too. The only thing I can tell from my stats is the "other" stats are insanely high

Boy, oh boy. I understand. Blogger has not allowed me to post anything at all for several weeks now. I can't figure out why. I've sent a message to the app designer and hope to get a fix, but if not, I will be done too. I hope to at least continue the access so I can comment on my blog list friends. (Like yours.) I sure hope you can get a fix for your issues.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Thanks and I hope to figure it out soon. The views are coming from places like craigslist, priceline, moneygram, etsy, apple, crunchbase (? ) most are advertising sites, and the others I have never heard of. I'm still working on it. These are not regular viewing followers either. I have yet to find the hidden follower, but hoping someone at blogger can assist with that.
So you are narrowing it down. Also outlets or aggregators might have linked to your blog, driving significant traffic.

Sorry that this is happening to you. I do hope you can manage to put a stop to it.

God bless.

That's weird because I just noticed that post from last Friday also has over 600 views. I usually have 200 or so. Hum
Be sure to look at where the views are coming from. There are more views coming from Kentucky Fried Chicken than anyone on blogger. Intel, priceline, and more places. If you have ideas or more tips, please comment. Debby, how does one remove their blog from an outlet or aggregator?
Following this. My excess views seem to be coming from somewhere unkn0wn
I don’t know if you can and especially if in the Privacy part of settings you have it open and Visible to search engines. I have mine turned off. There’s a little switch.

If you can find and their opt-out processes: They all allow individuals to request the removal of their personal blog link. or you can use a
professional data removal services.

Today I was shocked the last 2 days my views have tripled. From places like Instagram, Liverpool.com.mx, nivida.com ( an AI factory in China) tokyo-u.ac.jp, yahoo, apple and more. I never noticed it before.

It would be great if I had google ads - could make some $$$.

I think there is a setting that you can use so that your blog is less visible to those bots:)

I wonder if some AI gurus have let loose their large learning models and are using our blogs for their learning exercises.
I do have my search to off on the search engines, and yet my views are now up to 500 on this post alone (crazy and not normal). I'm still working on it with more assistance. I added a page break for now, but the views continue to climb. Like Leigh said, it could be AI involved and with the limitations of blogger, and who views it. We are even unable to see followers in my case (could be your blog too). I hope to gain some info on all of this yet.
I have removed the last two actual blog posts with garden updates etc. (for now). I will continue to work on this. If any of you figure it out, please let us all know.

Apples and Tomatoes Oh My!

The early morning weather here has been downright chilly.  One morning it was 42 degrees.  Flower beds have been weeded.  The herb garden is next in line, but I do need to figure out what to do with all the rosemary plants I planted in the actual vegetable garden.  I have not mastered keeping them alive all winter indoors.  They will not survive the winter if left outside. Did any of my blog writing followers locate a better "blog" platform online?  Just curious if anyone is moving from blogger.

Under the Weather ~ What's Growing?

I have not been around in blogland much, due to being under the weather after I pushed myself way to far one day.  I have to remember we cannot do it all in one day.  Thank goodness for teas and tinctures, and healing foods (and rest).  We are feeling better. As for our blogs being used for advertising on many websites, and so forth (I can't see any other reason for the source of views: howstuffworks, dominospizza, mayoclinic {not the blog readers interested in my actual blog}) the numbers continue to climb.  I have not found a way to "opt" out either.  If any of you find a new way to avoid this, blog elsewhere, find a new platform etc, please be sure to share.   If your blog has ads, you are are not going to complain, ha ha!  You are probably making a bucko-bucks with all these visitors to your blog. Okay, back to the update post . . .

16 Weeks Until Christmas

It's not hard to believe that we are traveling closer to the winter holidays.  I'm trying to focus on enjoying every single day until then, but I am fitting in a few snippets of holiday preparing.  Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  It's hard to believe it's the last day of August. I have not yet gotten rid of the links to all the advertisers using my blog posts, but again, still working on it. However, my profile has gone from my blog, and while I am in settings, it is not able to add as a "gadget" to the blog.  Weird things are happening.   Google had a data breach recently as well, so gmail users were advised to change passwords.  Not sure what else is going on, but just in case you are wondering why my "profile" is not on my blog any longer.   Okay, back to the Christmas countdown post . . .
