Merry Christmas Eve! I have our make ahead Christmas morning breakfast ready to simply heat and eat on Christmas.
I'm not sure what the plan is for the day today, but I am sure I will at least get one type of cookie baked, and maybe more tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteI just read today and yesterday’s post. I’m a bit off this year too. My oven has, for the fourth time since I bought it, broken. I had just started making Christmas cookies and then it no longer heats up to even close to the proper temperature. I had to finish baking my sister’s GF snickerdoodles in the toaster oven 🙄! I paid $6,000 for a high end dual fuel stove in 2011. Can you say L-E-M-O-N?! I currently have insurance for it but, come on, no Christmas baking?! And, my brother is coming for a week’s visit starting New Year’s Eve. Ugh.
I am excited about my brother’s upcoming visit. There are plenty of stove top things I can make.
I have another “thing” too: All I want for Christmas is my left knee fixed! Torn meniscus. Surgery scheduled 1/3. I’m tired of going up and down the stairs like a two year old. I will say that I have fun riding those motorized carts at the grocery store. My guy says I’m a terror 🤣. I almost took out one of the displays going around a turn last visit.
Oh well. Our plan is to take our spiral cut ham and sides over to a friend’s house tomorrow to cook using his oven. Food should be good and I bought a small chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. Let them eat cake! Merry Christmas! Ho ho ho!
