Teabag Tidbits

I had an upset stomach, and was searching for a peppermint teabag, and got this one.  My youngest daughter said I should share this.  It's pretty funny.  It's comical.  It's entertaining.  At least to me it was.

If you can't read the teabag tag in the photo, it says "You will feel fulfilled with you do the impossible for someone else."

My 17 year-old was at the stove baking a lemon pound cake from "Cookin' with Home Storage" by Peggy Layton.  I had just gotten home from shopping with Hubby.  As I read the teabag tag out loud, we both laughed.

I'm a chicken chaser, goat babysitter, house and garden watchdog.  I do not own "fancy" clothes.  Hubby was making me go to his holiday company dinner.  By saying "making" me, I really mean it.  He took to me to town to look for a "nice" outfit.  He failed to tell me (found out on arrival) that it was semi-formal.  Almost all the woman had cocktail dresses on.

I was trying my hardest to get out of this shindig.

Anyway.  I had an upset stomach, and was trying to put off getting dressed.

We ate, I met several of his co-workers (dates, wives, girlfriends), we laughed, and we danced.

I did the impossible.

I went.

Drinks were included.  You can bet I saw more entertainment there than I did at home watching LMN or Bravo.

.....it's a blogpost right?  Not farm, self-sufficiency related, but a blogpost albeit.

    Yes, it's a blog post.
It's how I do it too...
Your story made me laugh--being somewhere you don't want to be CAN BE HIGHLY ENTERTAINING. It helps me to take the edge off, by watching others.
I'm just evil like that. ;)

I would HATE to have to go to an 'affair' like that.
