Weeding ~ The Stories....

Hubby and I planted tomatoes until we literally ran out of room.  I have to wait until we till up the last area to plant. 

Timmy joined me in the herb garden. 

He stayed the entire time I weeded it, and then some.  The school bus drove in, and he still slept away.  He just made me smile, and made my weeding job much more enjoyable.

I typically don't run the barn cats out when they do crawl in to cool off.  I have enough chives to fill several freezers, so I let them have their cooling off spot.

Peanut (goat) is still getting her morning munch time, and many times later in the day.  I tied Rue out yesterday, but he has anxiety when he's too far from his ladies (he's our wether).  They are chewing down the small trees for me too. Yay!


Oh the stories my kids can tell to their kids!

Hubby was already snoring, and all the sudden the dogs started barking like crazy.  I could hear them in the living room, so whatever it was it was out front or close to the front of the house.

I walked through the kitchen and I see one daughter on the front porch and one at the door.  They were all laughing.

Then, all the sudden I see a big shadow of an animal on the front porch.  Now I have always said the porch is the place to visit, but I don't think I ever invited Daughter's Billy!

Orion broke his tie out last night.  By the way, he's already chewed his entire circle area down since we moved him last (my gas free mower).

Anyway, I completely forgot to give him a new tie out after winter.  The moisture causes it to rust and eventually it breaks.  I guess I've been so busy to even think about it.

The funniest part is that I left a few pairs of Hubby's jeans on the clothesline. They were still a bit wet (put up late).  Orion tried to eat a pair, ha ha ha!  Oh we got a good laugh about all of it.  Orion even tried to come in the front door! 

I'm just glad he still comes to the door to tell us he is loose.  I think I should write a kid's book about him, he's given us so many funny stories to tell.  And my artistic kids can illustrate it, ha ha!  Heck, we could throw in the chickens, and barn cats in the story too.  And maybe a black water snake, an injured hawk, a great horned owl (that got in the barn), and a huge snapping turtle!

Today's day is a bit discombobulated, due to the early wet dew, but I'm okay with that.  I have bills to pay, a toilet to scrub, butter to "churn" and by golly, I'm taking time to write today.  Tomatoes can go in later tonight.
