Chocolate fixes everything . . .

Actually, chocolate doesn't fix trucks.  It may make me feel better, but.....

Just when you think you can't take one more awful, bad, miserable thing happening, it happens.

I started cleaning again (no big surprise there, right?), and at noon, I get a call from Hubby.

He tells me his brake line gave out on his drive to work.  Thankfully, he arrived safely, and no one was hurt.

We'll figure it out, as we always do.  Just bad timing.

I found my Sudoku book!  Ha!  It was buried in my desk drawer.  I knew I had this one, but for the last year couldn't remember where I had put it.  Guess what I am doing today?  Yep.

I little R and R can't hurt, so I'm taking some.

I have light fixtures to clean and wash down, a few more cobwebs, and another area to clean.  Although it's small, there are many small crafting items that need weeded through.  I might as well tackle all of it before winter is over.  This cleaning has inspired me to make more S.C.R.A.P. projects with items I have sitting around too.  It's been a win-win situation.

I had to laugh last night.  Now that my nightstand is cleaned off, and the wood work shining, I realized I need to put the cat treats elsewhere.

I walked into my room last night to find Tiger sitting on my nightstand, meowing, and waiting for his nightly treats.  I used to make fun of how many bags of cat treats my Mom had for her cat, but Tiger is out of control, ha ha!

Tiger has never been on top of my nightstand.  He's typically sitting on my bed, patiently waiting.

So, when I opened the bottom cabinet to get the over-sized bag (thanks to Hubby who felt we needed a bigger bag, so it won't fit in my actual drawer), Jasper ran in and tried to climb inside the nightstand.

Oh, dear.  Time to move the treats (and clean out my nightstand).

Speaking of treats, my vegetarian daughter gave me heck for for buying them, and not making my own cat treats.  We actually bought some from the Farmer's Market one year, but they both refused to eat them.  So....

If anyone has a cat treat recipe, that is tried and trusted (and cat approved), I'd love to try it.

  3. Unfortunately, my cats prefer junk treats. I have tried all kinds of 'special' and homemade ones, but they refuse them. Hope the brake line is fixed soon without breaking the bank (pardon the pun...)

  4. Susan, I think cats are picky when it comes to treats. I hope Hubby and a few guys can go tow his truck. It's an hour from here at his place of work. Sigh. I'm hoping for a low cost fix too.

  5. I'd say you are deserving of some relaxation time AND chocolate! Darn vehicles. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. Plus this time of year is not the best time to be under a truck trying to fix brake lines! Hope it all goes well.

  6. Glad you are getting some R & R, you always sound so busy! Boy are those cats living the good life or what!!!
(in the pockets of every jkt i own there are dog treats!!)
Hope the repairs on your hubby's truck aren't too expensive. We just saw the bill for my recent smash, so glad we don't have to pay it (wasn't my fault).

  7. Mama Pea, what's worse is today his work is at their limit of negotiations, and at midnight they will find out if they strike or not. So...he has to find a way to get the truck out of the gate today. So frustrating too.

  8. Emma, I think the cats know I have a larger bag of treats too. They have come to me more than once a night the last few nights, and their food bowl is full, ha ha!

  9. What's in those treats? My cat goes nuts every night! They're like a drug with her. LOL! I have a recipe but haven't made it yet just dog treats. I'll try and get it posted soon.

  10. Chocolate might not fix EVERYTHING, but if you love it, it sure can make you feel better while going over the rough spots.
    Don't you think?

    God bless.
