I Own Another Trailer~~ and Safe Pet Toys

It's good to dream right?  Well, I was gifted another trailer from my son this year.  Last year he gifted me an ornament that hooks up to Christmas lights.  This year he gifted me this one:

Isn't it darling?  I love it!  Now I own two.  They are not the kind I can go camping in, but dreams do come true.

Yesterday, in the center of completing more projects, my daughter reminded me that we dried catnip for cat toys.  So I hopped on my sewing machine chair and made several for the cats.
I wish all the photos came out.  However, they were rolling around and moving so fast.  Here is Jasper licking his pillow.  I took scrap material and made miniature pillows, and stuffed them with dried catnip (that grows wild on our property).  Tiger, another cat, was holding his pillowing between his front paws and rubbing it on both sides of his face.  We had so much fun watching them.

.....well, it's another day of working on projects....I better get to work.  The year is ending fast and my pile continues to grow.  I made a trip to the thrift store on my way to the grocery store (gulp).  I came home with a few more projects to re-purpose. I gotta quit doing that.  Ha ha ha ha!  Look for those updates on my S.C.R.A.P. blog in the near future.

Jasper certainly looks to be "under the influence" of the catnip! LOL!!

  4. I love the trailer! Adorable!!! I remember camping in one similar to that. Brings me back a ways, nicely.
And what a happy looking cat! I must remember to plant some new catnip this year. How do you get your cats to leave it alone while it grows!

I look forward to seeing the outcome of your re-purpose projects. I am just getting into that am an interested in all ideas.

  5. Girl! you're doing a new project everyday! ...
I like the pictures of the cat-nipped cat.
I'm not great with photography and I only have a point a shoot Kodak...but try shooting the pets with the *children* setting. That way if they or the camera moves...not too fuzzy!

Like you I've got more than enough to re-purpose...but still I can't help myself when I see a good deal.

    take care!

  6. Do they hide theirs from the other cats. Mine don't like to share.

  7. Michelle - the cats to share, but only when they are tired of it and need a break. One left one on the front room carpet and another one started rubbing all over it. SO funny to watch.

  9. Anna - we also have 3 barn cats that stay outside. They are very loving cats and we do bring them inside during extreme weather. They eat the catnip and well....deposit it in my flower beds (he he he!) I find it growing all around the barns too. To dry it, I had to hang it in the garage and keep it there until I was ready to stuff the pillows. I even had to stuff the pillows in the garage! Ha ha ha! We tried to bring it inside and the three inside cats went crazy over it.
