Baked Cucumbers ~ Concombres Au Beurre

I borrowed a copy of Mastering the Art of French Cooking and
made baked cucumbers yesterday.  They were actually very good.  I even got a "Mmmmm" from a few kids willing to try them.  Outside of making pickles, this has been our second adventure in trying something new with cucumbers.

It's funny how one movie can have so much of an influence, that people like me are actually buying or borrowing this cookbook, and creating French food!  It's not a "bucket list" item, but maybe it should have been.  It's been a fun experience. 


We finally got some rain last night, although I don't think it was enough to cool the temperature.  Humidity still lingers yet early this morning.  I'll have to venture to the garden to see what is ready to be eaten today.
