So frustrating as last year was frustrating. I'm just glad we have a well and the rain barrels. We then tried directly in the garden, but the weather last year and this year are not good. No rain for two weeks. All the rain we expected passed by us, and now nothing until next weekend. We have to water again today.Pioneer Woman at Hearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16533698959389851926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-15745432130039634582016-08-05T17:42:56.139-07:002016-08-05T17:42:56.139-07:00We went over a week with no rain. We're up to 2/3 of an inch so far this week. Another 1/3, and I'll be satisfied my rose garden got enough for the week.
We're seeing the same thing with leaves turning early. I'm pretty sure the stress a week without rain puts on trees and such lends a hand in that.
I pray everyone has a safe, great weekend.
Suppose to be a tiny bit cooler here with a good chance of rain each day.
Well, we'll see. Won't we.
God bless.
RB
<><RBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13053380234618898848noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-27588723470706032362016-08-05T16:24:38.642-07:002016-08-05T16:24:38.642-07:00I'm the same way with library books this time ...I'm the same way with library books this time of year. We have a book rack in the bathroom that I stock with interesting, different, weird books I find at the library and some weeks they are the only ones that get looked at!

I raise our garlic in a raised bed which I think gives them a better chance than in the more traditional on-the-ground method. It would be interesting to do an experiment some year -- plant some in the ground and some in a raised bed. Even planting them in a tire would work.Mama Peahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03649357184167949247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-28547936974033225152016-08-05T04:19:09.348-07:002016-08-05T04:19:09.348-07:00Kim, we did not, but I am pretty sure she'll h...Kim, we did not, but I am pretty sure she'll hold to it.
