Heaven Gained an Angel

My mother passed away on Saturday, February 19th.  It's been a whirlwind of emotions.  I'll be back when I am able to.

  2. Sending heartfelt condolences to you and all of your mother's friends and family. Regardless of our age when we lose a parent, it's always such a difficult happening. Our parents are the ones who have always been in our lives more than anyone else and when they are gone, it changes who we are. Hugs to you, Kristina.

  5. Oh, I am so sorry. My mom passed away peacefully in her sleep almost 14 years ago - On July 4. We call it her "independence day." I was shocked at the depth of grief I experienced. She was 80 and had lived a full life. But still, I felt such a hole. Even today, I will think, "Oh! I should tell Mom that!" Allow yourself to feel the grief. Years ago, I read that grief is like an ocean wave. If you fight it, it'll eventually pull you under, but if you allow it to wash over you, feeling all the emotions, you'll soon regain your balance. I am covering your family in prayer.

  13. I'm very sorry for your loss. It's never easy losing a parent (especially your mother). My mom passed 14 years ago and, as someone else commented, I too still find myself thinking that I need to share something with her or talk to her about something. May God grant you peace and comfort.
