Our markets do not sell leeks at all. I have to search organic sections of grocers here. I find it hard, locally, to find organic leeks and the farmers markets are long gone. I freeze them when I find them, but have never heard of leek comfit - it's on my list to try!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12573143203599624833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-76116014831020105062016-02-16T03:57:29.986-08:002016-02-16T03:57:29.986-08:00RB, glad this will help. Problem I've been having is, I get a bunch of leeks which is usually 3 or 4, and because I only use small amounts at a time, some go bad before I can use them all. This will help avoid the spoilage. Yayyy!!!
God bless.
RB
<><RBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13053380234618898848noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-13192273366692698872016-02-15T05:15:36.186-08:002016-02-15T05:15:36.186-08:00Mama Pea, I had to make some homemade ginger-ale y...Mama Pea, I had to make some homemade ginger-ale yesterday. Almost all of us were feeling a bit off. Today, it's the same. I will gargle with salt water and rub tea tree oil mix on my feet. Hopefully, tomorrow will be much better.Pioneer Woman at Hearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16533698959389851926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-57580149654628315862016-02-14T12:06:21.721-08:002016-02-14T12:06:21.721-08:00Oh, I think you leek confit would be wonderful wit...Oh, I think you leek confit would be wonderful with any cooked vegetable! What a lovely way to "fancy up" any dish. You're so darn creative!

Sorry your date night got cancelled. Your hubby really puts in a lot of hours of overtime, doesn't he? Good in the way of bringing in more salary, but not so good in having enough time at home and with you. Pffft!

Hope your sick-i-ness goes away quickly.Mama Peahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03649357184167949247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-22384930640237072062016-02-14T08:11:49.865-08:002016-02-14T08:11:49.865-08:00Liz, they are hit and miss here too. I never feel up to the work when I am sick and want it.Pioneer Woman at Hearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16533698959389851926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2264863019487640784.post-91529579075842127162016-02-14T07:31:38.827-08:002016-02-14T07:31:38.827-08:00Thats how our date night went too!
