Quarantine Day 32

Quarantine day 32

Nothing like waking up at 3:30am, and finding the internet not working and trying to figure it out for an hour. Now it's running slower than molasses.

Things I noticed while out getting supplies - Kroger pharmacy took down all readers.  You cannot buy them.  One Kroger has a limit of 410 people.   Ace hardware is not shipping any UPS items.  No Lysol spray in any stores.

Daughter (20 year-old) said that they only get a small amount of Lysol and they are forced to keep it and use on the store.  I'm guessing most shipments are like this.

She also told us they make care packages for the truck drivers that deliver - Lysol, sanitizer, snacks etc.

Calling my Mom to get her grocery list for a supply run feels like a scene from The Walking Dead.

On a good note, my lettuce is sprouting!  We also cut wood, but only enough for a few days.  It was cold, so we will resume soon.

Glad you manged to get some internet up and running again. Mine is in intermittent and very slow but I am thankful for whatever I can get. There are shortages here too of hand gel and some cleaning products but we are managing. Take care.

The internet is sometimes slow here too. They say it's because of so many people working and schooling on the internet now from home.
Such weird days. We don't know whether to make a quick run for necessities, or stay home; to cut wood or put fans in the windows, but they got through days like this in the old days, and I am convinced that we will too if we obey CDC and state government rules.
Praying for a peaceful enjoyable and safe weekend ahead for us all, and for God, in His infinite mercy, to lift this affliction from our planet, in Christ Jesus name. AMEN!!!
God bless.

RB, yes so many are home schooling their kids, but they are putting non-essential back to work soon, which means they could open the schools here. I say they just let the seniors go back and let them graduate.

Hi Kristina and friends,
Our stay at home order in Minnesota is until May 13. Many of our bigger stores in the next biggest town have limits to how many people can come in - example home depot is 150. They are talking about letting some businesses re-open - not restaurants, but golf courses so they can get ready for the season, things like that. We have a fairly low case count compared to some and hopefully it will stay that way! My husband, son (who lives in our home) and I are all essential workers so carry on - I am just back to work after the arm break/surgery and it's strange as many are working from home now. Many of ouSr restaurants are doing curb service so my co-workers get lunch in quite a bit. These are strange times. Our daughter is laid off but will be fine - we just miss seeing her and drop off care packages of meat, eggs and whatever we can think of!

Debby, it is strange times. I have two essential workers here, so we are trying to handle things safely.

I think the legislators, governors, etc. that decide to ignore CDC guidelines should go back into their office environments with their staff to work first.
I also think the legislators, governors, etc. that decide this should send their own kids back to school first.
Praying for any children sent to face this before the CDC says it's safe.
God bless.
