In Search of . . .

Yesterday, right after I posted, I went in search for something on the internet.  I can't even remember what I was searching for at the time, but remembered clicking on "images" for another search and wound up finding another crochet pattern I want to make.   I'm pretty sure I was not looking for patterns.

Sigh.  Another pattern that requires a color I do not have.

Double sigh.

And then there was the triple sigh for finding another project when crafting journal if full already.

Today is the last day of school for the kids, and then Christmas break starts.

This cold winter air is really drying me out.  I feel like I could crack.  I'm on the hunt for a homemade body butter recipe now.  Anyone have one?

If I make any candy this Christmas, it might be Sorghum Candy or Cider Vinegar Candy.  Both are favorites here.  Now that I have organic/non-gmo corn syrup, I might make some hard tack candy.  I haven't made that one for over 20-some years.

If you are wondering how my solo "crochet-a-than" went, you'll have to patiently (in our large family there are many interruptions) wait.  I'm still not certain whether I will meet the deadline or not.  I am pretty sure that the dish scrubbies (sorry Brother) won't even get started due to the cramming of gift making going on.  But....I have all of January to March to get them done for next Christmas.  The weather may prevent one gathering this season too.  I continue to watch the forecast for this weekend and Christmas week.

I always look forward to having more time for crafting in winter. Somehow, I never end up with any! I love to see your projects, though - they are very inspirational. Hope you can show them after Christmas!

I know, I didn't get everything done I wanted to but now that I have called it "done" and all is mailed I can relax and enjoy the season and bake and decorate and yes, clean! LOL!
Have you checked Knit Picks. they have all kind sof yarn at reasonable prices and the quality is great, I think. They now are carrying some #10 thread in colors too.

Have you ever made Spoon Fudge? I saw a great recipe for it on Food Network last week, and it looked luscious. I'm interested in it particularly because I think it could easily made sugar free for diabetics, maybe if I can find a sugar free substitute for the corn syrup. The regular recipe would probably be a great inexpensive gift idea too.
It's here if you're interested.

God bless.
