Cleaning for Camping ~ Painting ~ Timmy (again)

I'm still deep cleaning.  I came across cloth napkins, that at one time, I had planned to embroider for gifting.  Not sure what I had intentionally planned, but I did tackle this unfinished project.

Now, at this point, I could have just given them away or even donated them, but I tossed them all into the washing machine instead.

I was able to order some camping, iron-on embroidery transfers for half price, so I am patiently waiting for them to arrive.

Speaking of camping.  My oldest daughter's friend gifted me a vintage looking radio.  I love it!  It's going camping for now, but if I ever get my backyard, hard-sided, vintage camper (office, place to escape), it will be parked in there.  Hubby likes it too.

I finished painting the corner piece, and have moved onto the next larger section of cupboards.  Here is a photo with the doors removed.   I hope to get 2 coats on this today, but we do have a busy day ahead of us, along with a bit of fun too.

We have had a few play dates with the baby goats.  The photos are all blurry, considering they bounce around and play so much.  Yesterday, I laughed so hard.  Two girls were laying down on their stomachs, and the babies were climbing them.  They teamed up and jumped on my youngest - one eating her shirt and the other her hair.  It was hilarious.

So I woke up to this on one of the couches this morning.  It was pitch dark, and the sun was not up yet.  Timmy, once again is hurt.  This time we think he either broke or badly sprained his right leg.  It was all swollen and he would not use it, nor even "bake bread" with it.  Now last night I knew he was brought inside.  A hot water bottle was filled, and placed on his leg, and he just fell asleep.  The girls forgot to put him in the kennel last night, but he's behaving.  He ate breakfast and went right back to rest.  What are we going to do with this cat?  Sheesh.

A whistling sound woke me up this morning.   I could not figure out where it was coming from.  After discovering Timmy still inside, I noticed the kids actually opened a window.  It's that nice out right now.  The birds were, and are singing this morning.

Speaking of good weather, the electric bill went down from $331 to $77 now.   Like I said before, for us it's worth drying our laundry outside, but others maybe not.  Either way, we save money, and I get exercise and fresh air.

I have now taught my 14 year-old to do her own laundry too.  It's a good day for drying laundry today.

The fresh air, and outdoor sounds are calling me to the front porch.  I am hankering for a good sit on the porch today.  I may just head there late today and start cleaning it off. I might even sneak a one chair out of storage.  Hubby wants to power wash the siding on the porch first, but one chair won't hurt.  Besides, he's working all weekend.

Your days are so full . . . and isn't it wonderful? I know I'd never want it any other way. (Can you even imagine being bored as some people say they are?)

One of my dogs had diarrhea all over the house this week. The next day the other was barfing. I wonder why we even have these guys, LOL!!!!
I wish I had a clothes line. The hubs tried to dig a hole to put one up and kept hitting rocks. He quit, so I don't have one. We are total electric which I HATE after the ice storm of 2007. I really liked having a gas water heater and stove :)
I can't wait to have my baby goats. They are so adorable and fun :) Enjoy them they grow up too fast. Faster than our kids, lol!!!!
