15 Years

Today is our 15th wedding anniversary.  We made it this far now, and can still talk about it, ha ha!  Raising six kids in today's elements, environment, influences, and social media bombardment, is no picnic when it comes to keeping a marriage alive.

Taking our "marriage sanity saver" trips has done us well, and we plan to continue that every year.  And we still plan to take entire days to ourselves, and even just hours of the day.

....now I must get off here and go smooch my Hubby.

Happy Anniversary! (Do you ever regret getting married at Christmas time? We got hitched Aug. 31 (Labor Day Weekend) and have found that less than a quiet time that allows us to get away.) My hat is off to you both for working hard at finding time for each other. Keep it up!

Thank you Carolyn.

Mama Pea,
Some times I do regret it, only because travel costs are at the highest, and even the B&B where we got married always seems to be too expensive or booked solid. However, when we married, we both had kids from a previous marriage, and it was the only day we could elope and enjoy our time together. It always brings back good memories anyway. We got married on an "island" that came off the riverside of the B&B, and had one two person bench on it, and a bridge to walk over. The island is not gone from erosion, but we have the memories from it. Many years we have to take our "anniversary trip" in the spring.

Correction: I meant to say "now" gone from erosion.

Happy Anniversary! My husband and I have sanity days also. About once every three to four months we like to take a weekend to just get away from everyday responsibilities. It makes it easier knowing we have our weekend to look forward to.
