Pumpkin Butter Bread and My Day "Off"

If you are like me, and have leftover pumpkin butter you need to use up, you may like the recipe we tried.  I baked a Pumpkin Butter Bread. Although it wasn't our favorite, they ate it up.  I didn't have raisins and walnuts, and that may add more flavor to it.

This year I am trying to give myself a day "off."  We do honor the Sabbath on Sunday, but I really need to give myself a "break" and tend to  myself for a day.

It's been slow going on this.  However, it's only been two weeks of initiating it also.

Ha ha ha!  A day "off" is a good day to bring home library goodies and browse books.  I found a few great ideas for using up my yo-yo's for Christmas ornaments and some great gift ideas.

I also finished (YAY! I can say the word now) the last of the cat flour sack towels.

I am also making progress on my mixing bowl re-purpose project. Somewhere around the house I have the original magazine article on how to make these:  Garden Mushrooms

Nice job on the towel. Your pile of books look intriging. I get in trouble time wise when I go looking for more projects.

Good job on the towel. One unhappy cat!
Your pile of books looks intreging, however troublesome............like you are going to have more things to get made up.

A day off? There really is such a thing? As a matter of fact, I need to get busy baking and doing laundry! LOL!!
The flour sack towels are sure cute! :)

I love that flour sack towel. I have several of those, they are so nice for covering bread when it is rising. Just the right weight to let it rise, yet still keep it covered.

I've been wanting to read "One-Yard Wonders"--hope you enjoy all those books!

Those little kitties are cute.
I have some thread and embroidery things that came from my MIL and I have some flour sack towels. I should do some of these up for the girls...
I clicked on the mushroom link...those are CUTE TOO!

It would be so neat if you could somehow light them with solar lights...so at night they'd light a path...

see you, have a great weekend coming up! Pat
