Homemade Organic Graham Crackers

I made my first batch of homemade organic graham crackers.  I have to say I will have a hard time not eating all of these before the kids get home.  They are unbelievably good.

Between the wheat thins and these, I now have replaced 2 more processed foods we used to buy.  They are much better tasting and much cheaper to make.  They do take time, but they are well worth it.

Dough before it was rolled out as instructed by the recipe I used.

 The final graham crackers.

I did leave mine in 1 hour after I  baked them.  Depending on your oven, you may need to also.  In respect to the site I located this recipe, I am posting the link for you to go directly to the recipe:  Homemade Whole Wheat Graham Crackers

For our graham crackers, we used locally stone ground whole wheat flour (preservative free), organic butter, local raw honey, organic vanilla, and organic evaporated cane syrup (listed as Organic Sugar in most stores).

Looks good! I'm going to try the Smitten Kitchen's version, since I don't have the sucanate and don't have a problem using sugar...

I usually just use 1/2 cup of regular sugar in mine. I've made 2 batches already this week.
